+ What is Heyr?

Heyr is a message-based, preventative mental health app created by clinical experts that allows you to access on-demand help and build better mental habits. Heyr uses clinically validated techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) that are designed to help you connect better with your thoughts and build coping skills.

+ How do I sign up and login?

There are 3 Simple ways to login via nmobile to access the app.

1) Login using your telephone number (adjust the International dialling code) and enter your mobile and wait for a verification text.

2) Login with Gmail, Simply click the "sign in with Google" button and follow the instructions.

3) Login with apple (IOS only) ensure your apple cfredentials are updated and simply press login and follow intrsuctions.

+ Where do I get an access code?

Currently our access codes are only distributed through our partners. Tempoary access could also be granted to students, busineses, charities, press or researchers (contact us for an access code).

+ Getting started, Why is Heyr messaging me?

Heyr conversational AI is created by clinical experts to guide you through specific personal goals and help you build mental skill with mood exercises. Click “work on a goal” to access a series of challenges and psychoeducation with guided questions designed to teach skills related to CBT and other techniques.

+ What is a Check-in?

Reflecting on your mood, motivation and mental wellbeing can help to understand where you are right now, and gain Heyr points. You can check-in on the Chat screen by answering a few questions. Our scoring method is based on the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS). The scale is widely used and is validated in public health and clinical settings. You can see your current number of check-ins completed on the top bar of the screen.

+ How is CBT useful?

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to improve mental health. CBT is evidence-based therapy as gathering data and evidence throughout can prove that the therapy is really working. It's perhaps one of most evidence based therapies and focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

+ How can I track my mood?

Track your mood, motivation and mental wellbeing score on the Mood Tracker (Stats screen). This can help you (and Heyr) start to understand what causes your mood change and observe patterns.

+ How do I make a Journal entry?

Take your first steps in sharing your thoughts, feelings, moods and interests in a journal. These notes are private, we will never read or share them. Currently you can not add journal entries to the past.

+ Tell me about rewards?

You can use heyr points to claim rewards from brands in our app’s reward marketplace. To claim rewards, click the offers you like and redeem discount codes.

+ How do I earn points?

Earn 10 points for each check-in completed, regardless of what mood you record. Bonus points (up to 150 points) are awarded when you complete a daily check-in streak. You can see your current balance of points on the top bar of the screen.
